On Friday, October 18 at 5 pm, the Sundial Bridge over the Sacramento River in Redding will be lit bright pink to celebrate Think Pink Month, a community effort to promote breast cancer awareness.

In 2009, Nor-Cal Think Pink received historic approval by the City of Redding to light the Sundial Bridge in pink and today more than a thousand people attend each year to see this incredible display. Nor-Cal Think Pink will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of this beautiful event with live music, inspiring speakers, health booths, and food trucks.

Think Pink! Mom and my human sister just took me to a big bridge called the Sundial. I've been there before, but tonight it was pink! There were soooo many people the bridge was swaying when we walked on it. Scary! There were ladies on a stage talking about surviving something called breast cancer. My human sister's grandma had breast cancer and never got to meet her own granddaughter. We thought it was wonderful that our small town thinks breast cancer is important enough to have a big event to educate people and their dogs about it. #norcalthinkpink #reddingca #reddingrosie #reddingcalifornia #reddingcivic #redding #reddinglife #thinkpink #sundialbridge #dogsofinstagram #labsofinstagram #weimaranersofinstagram #rescuedogsofinstagram #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #whorescueswho #gooddog #breastcancerawareness #rpdthinkspink #thinkpink #reddingfirefighters #turtlebay

Think Pink is a community effort to promote breast cancer awareness. Our efforts culminate every year during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with Think Pink Week. Nor-Cal Think Pink’s mission is to raise awareness of the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer. There is a 98% survival rate if breast cancer is caught and treated early. Visit www.NorCalThinkPink.org for list of all Think Pink Week activities. In addition to our hundreds of volunteers, Think Pink Week would not happen without the support of all our sponsors!
