Yosemite Officials Asking For Help to Find Lost Hiker

Yosemite National Park is looking for a lost hiker and is asking the public for help in finding her.

“Alice” Yu Xie (picture above) left for a solo hike in the Upper Yosemite Falls area of the park on January 14 or the morning of January 15. After traveling to the park from Mariposa on the YARTS bus, she has since gone missing.

The park is asking anyone who may have seen her on the trail to the top of Yosemite Falls to call (209) 372-0216 during business hours, or Yosemite Emergency Communications Center at (209) 379-1992 after hours.

She is a 41-year-old Asian female, less than 5 feet tall, less than 100 pounds, and has neck-length black hair. No clothing description is available, but she was hiking with the small green backpack (pictured below).
