A fawn was rescued Sunday afternoon after it was spotted swimming in the middle of Folsom Lake. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Video shared with KCRA 3 shows a man, wearing a life jacket, swimming out to the young deer and bringing it back on a boat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Katherine Uhrik, who took the video with her sister, said the deer was rescued around 3 p.m. after it was spotted struggling in the lake. She said the man who swam after the fawn was her husband, Kenny Croyle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Uhrik said the deer was taken back to shore to be reunited with its mother. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #folsomlake #norcal #waterrescue #deersofinstagram #animalrescue #goodnews #kcra3
When a group of people boating on Folsom Lake Sunday afternoon spotted a fawn swimming nowhere near shore, they knew they had to help it out.
Kenny Croyle jumped into the lake to rescue the baby deer, who looked tired and scared. They were able to wrangle the fawn into the boat and bring it to shore where it was reunited with its mother.
Thanks to Kenny Croyle for helping out NorCal wildlife in need!
