Watch a Giant Bobcat Just Strolling Down a Tahoe Road

With the snow melting in the Tahoe region, wild animal sightings (mostly bears) are on the rise. One of the more impressive sightings recently was of this giant bobcat that was seen just strolling down a Tahoe road:

The video was posted to the I love Lake Tahoe Facebook group on Wednesday morning by Tommy Marks and began going viral. The post was even liked by none other Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg:

It’s truly a magnificent animal to just see cruising down the street, a tribute to the natural beauty of the Tahoe area. The cat seems to be a Lynx rufus, which is common in the area but due to its nocturnal nature, is rarely seen by humans.
