Viral Moment: President Trump Has Difficulty Pronouncing ‘Yosemite’

It was a fantastic day for the United States as President Donald Trump signed the bipartisan Great American Outdoors Act. Outdoor enthusiasts around the country celebrated the measure that calls for “mandatory funding of the Land and Water Conservation Fund and addresses the maintenance backlog facing America’s national parks and public lands.”

While we enjoyed the the celebration surrounding the bill, President Trump had difficulty pronouncing one of our favorite destinations in California – Yosemite National Park. While delivering his prepared remarks on the bill, he fumbled while naming famed park.

“We want every American child to have access to have access to pristine outdoor spaces. When young Americans experience the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon. when their eyes widen in amazement as Old Faithful bursts into the sky, when they gaze upon Yo-semites – Yo-seminites – towering sequoias, their love of country grows stronger, and they know that every American has a duty to preserve this wondrous inheritance.”

The pronunciation reminded us of our very Brien O’Brien’s favorite way to pronounce the park:
