Throwback: Walk Through Whiskeytown in its Full Winter Glory

The Whiskeytown National Recreation is one of our favorite places on the planet. Unfortunately, when the Carr Fire rampaged through the park, it burned over 90 percent of the lush landscape.

It’s yet to be seen what the park will look like when it fully reopens following the fire, but during the height of winter in Northern California, we can’t help but reminisce what the park can look like with a full snow cover. So we went back to see some photos of the park covered in snow.

See Whiskeytown for yourself, in its full winter glory:

Let’s hope we’ll be able to experience the beautiful snow at Whiskeytown again soon!
