This Week’s Storm Creates HUGE Waves for Surfers on Lake Tahoe

This week’s storm brought massive amounts of snow to the Sierra, closing down roads and bringing 100+ mph winds to mountaintops. And while the winds were vicious in the mountains, they also brought perfect surfing conditions to Lake Tahoe.

Here’s what the water look liked on the precipice of this week’s storm:

While surfing Lake Tahoe is a rare occurrence, this is far from the first time surfers have been seen on the lake. In fact, if the wind is just right, waves can get as big as 10 feet on the lake:
