Spend Memorial Day Weekend at the McCloud Mushroom Festival

Held every Memorial Day weekend at the base of Mt. Shasta in the historic lumber town of McCloud, the McCloud Mushroom and Music Festival celebrates the proliferation of wild mushroom hunting that occurs every spring in and around McCloud. Enjoy live music, wine tasting, mushroom vendors, cooking demonstrations, workshops, and more.

Here are all the details of the awesome event:

McCloud Mushroom Festival

With nearly 70 artisan, craft and food vendors, McCloud Draws around 8,00 people for this awesome 2-day event. During this festival, you can enjoy mushroom foraging with the “King of Mushrooms” Todd Spanier, and music from local and well-known bands.

The weekend will also include a Wine & Cheese Walk on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. The walk will include six local wineries, as well as Cask and Cleaver Charcuterie Co. Here’s a list of the wineries:

Schedule of Events:

Saturday, May 28: 10 am-6pm – live music, mushroom vendors, wine tasting, special mushroom delicacies, cooking demonstrations, workshops and educational booths on mushroom harvesting.

Band Lineup:

12-1:30 pm – Paper Heart & the Flame

2-3:30 pm – Lion of the North

4-7 pm – 3 Mile Road

Sunday, May 29: 10 am-6pm – live music, mushroom vendors, wine tasting, special mushroom delicacies, cooking demonstrations, workshops and educational booths on mushroom harvesting.

12:45-1:30 pm – Monkey Lash

2-3:30 pm – Redwood Empire
