Whoa. 😮 Tony Hawk—yes, THE Tony Hawk—visited the Humboldt Skate Park today! He was in and out in a flash; it was even a surprise to us. Turns out Tony has a working relationship with the designers and contractors of our park improvements, Grindline Skateparks. They had a business meeting today, and as a cherry on top, Tony snuck in a few turns on the in-progress park. While this is no doubt cool, please respect that the Humboldt Skate Park is NOT yet re-opened to the public. We expect to be wrapped up and open near the end of March. We’re grateful for your patience! Stay tuned… . . 📷Photo courtesy of one of our Skate Camp instructors Brent Schneider
The Chico Skatepark was just recently refurbished as part of much needed update to the almost 30-year-old park. Here is the construction on the very bowl Hawk was skating on on February 1:
What a cool way to break in your new skatepark!
