Redding Firefighter Killed in Carr Fire Identified, 3 More Wounded

The Redding firefighter who was killed while fighting the Carr Fire in Redding has been identified as Jeremy Stoke, a fire inspector. The Redding Firefighters sent out the following message on social media:

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Fire Inspector Jeremy Stoke. Jeremy died while battling the Carr Fire. We ask for your thoughts and prayers for his family and the RFD as we process this tragic loss. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Meanwhile, three Marin County firefighters were sent to the hospital and treated for burns after they were hit with a “sudden blast of heat.” Scott Pederson, 37, an engineer, and firefighters Tyler Barnes, 34, and Brian Cardoza, 26 were all treated at Mercy Hospital in Redding for burns to the ears, face, and hands.
