Rainy Weather Postpones the Shasta Bike Tour

The rare rainy weather in May is causing issues for what’s otherwise sunny weather during the Shasta Bike Month. Unfortunately, the rain is forcing the inaugural Shasta Bike Tour, benefitting One Safe Place, to be postponed until September 28th.

The event includes a Metric Century Ride, a 30 Mi. ride, a 10 Mi. ride, and a 4 Mi. Family Fun Ride. But now, you’ll have to wait until September to participate. So it goes with events and weather.

Here is a note from the organizers of the event:

Good afternoon, All!

It is with a sad and heavy heart we are in a position to postpone the Shasta Bike Tour to September 28th, 2019. We were anticipating sunshine for this Saturday, however, it appears we are due for more rain. Believe us, this was not an easy decision. Out of concern for the safety of our riders postponement is the best option.

We’d like to thank all of you who have supported us at One SAFE Place and ask that you continue to support this awesome event up until the day of September 28th. We are optimistic we will make this experience an even greater one than it was to begin with.

For those of you who have already registered we are working on your refunds.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact Kathleen Kelley at 530-244-0118 x223.
