Palisades Tahoe Announces Jam-Packed Holiday Celebration

Holiday decorations and a fresh blanket of snow have made The Village at Palisades Tahoe a winter wonderland! The winter season is in full swing after last week’s storm dropped more than six feet of snow on our peaks, and more snow is in the forecast for this week. The next storm is expected to bring over 50 inches of snow to upper elevations before Christmas and continue after the holiday. Guests will be able to take advantage of fresh snow on 24 open lifts and over 200 open trails before attending our many holiday events, including a Christmas Eve Dinner, Disco Tubing, Sunset Happy Hours, and a New Year’s Eve LED Torchlight Parade. In addition to the following events, guests should remember to take advantage of all their Ikon Pass benefits or purchase a Tahoe Super 4-Pack before the price increases after December 24th.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Sit down with us at Olympic House for a delicious grand buffet on Christmas Eve! Enjoy a carving station, Christmas cassoulet, and Chef Cortney’s assorted pastries. Reservations for the Christmas Eve Dinner are required, prices are $29 per child and $75 per adult.

Snowshoe Tour & Chalet Dinner

Join a guided snowshoe tour to the mid-mountain Chalet at Alpine on select dates. After the hike, you’ll enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne and a four-course Bavarian inspired meal with hand selected wine pairings for each course. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase. Reservations are required, snowshoes provided, you’ll just need to dress warmly and come hungry. The event is $95 per person.

Disco Tubing

Join us at the SnoVentures Activity Zone from 5-8 pm daily from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31 for Disco Tubing. Guests of all ages can enjoy snow tubing with colorful LED lights, lasers and live DJs. Sessions are $63, last 55 minutes and begin at the top of the hour. Tickets are only available online and reservations are required.

Sunset Happy Hour

Snack on happy hour food and drink specials while enjoying the stunning view High Camp at Palisades Tahoe has to offer. Join us for Sunset Happy Hour on Dec. 26, 27 and 28 from 4-6 pm. Tickets can be purchased for $21 each at the base of the Tram Building until 4:45 the day of, or book online in advance. Tickets include Tram access and a complimentary voucher for one free wine or beer. This event has a capacity of 200 people, so book early to secure your spot! 

Ski & Après with Jonny Moseley and Daron Rahlves

Ski, ride, or enjoy après ski refreshments with gold medalist and Palisades Tahoe athlete Jonny Moseley! You can ski or ride with Jonny daily from Dec. 26 until Dec. 31 from 1:45 to 4 pm and enjoy drinks afterwards from 4-5 pm. Meeting locations will vary between the Alpine Breezeway for skiing and Alpine Bar for après or the Funitel Plaza for skiing and Plaza Bar for drinks. Great Basin Carolers

Live performances from the Great Basin Carolers will spread the holiday cheer in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. The free caroling will take place 4-7 pm daily from Dec. 20 to Dec. 24. 

Santa’s Schedule

Santa will be in the village spreading holiday cheer on December 23 and December 24! He will be visiting the Kids Game Room, taking photos, joining carolers and reading magical Christmas tales. View his schedule for Dec. 23 and Christmas Eve to ensure you don’t miss him. 

Winter Carriage Rides

Enjoy all the magical holiday decorations around The Village at Palisades Tahoe by joining a free Winter Carriage Ride. Two carriages will be simultaneously traveling throughout The Village  with pick up and drop off at either Coffeebar or Starbucks. Carriage rides will be running from 2-5 pm every day from Dec. 27-31. 

New Year’s Eve LED Torchlight Parade and Live Music from the Nomads

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with us by lighting up the final lap of 2021! Skiers and riders will light up the night sky as they ski down from the Exhibition chair as part of our LED Torchlight parade. The event will begin at 5pm and more festivities will follow. Fireworks will light up the sky at 7pm and a live performance by The Nomads (featuring Barry Thys) on the KT deck will continue until 9 pm. Guests must sign up for the parade in advance, and will only be allowed to ride the Exhibition Chairlift during their selected time slot. 

Shop, Dine, & Ski Free

If you spend a total of $750 at any Palisades Tahoe retail or food & beverage business between Nov. 20 and Dec. 24, 2021, you can receive a free, unrestricted Adult Lift Ticket. To take advantage of Shop, Dine & Ski Free, visit any ticket or pass locations with receipts showing you your purchases at qualifying locations.

Kids Craft & Game Room

Kids can enjoy a variety of events, arts and crafts, games, movies and a feature film each night at 7 pm. Magic shows, movies, balloon shows, a Santa visit, and face painting are all on the calendar at the Kids Craft & Game Room. The Kids Craft & Game Room is located in the Palisades Room. The Village Front desk can provide directions if needed. 

Guests of The Village at Palisades Tahoe can enter for free, and day passes are $10 for non-hotel guests. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and masks must be worn inside regardless of vaccination status. The Craft & Game Room will be open 10 am to 9 pm daily from Dec.18 until Jan.1, except on the following dates: 

Dec. 24 hours: 10 am to 3 pm

Dec. 25: CLOSED

Dec. 31 hours: 10 am to 3 pm.
