Netflix Drops Trailer for its Camp Fire Documentary and it Looks INCREDIBLE

We’re nearing the one-year anniversary of the Camp Fire, a wildfire that blazed through the town of Paradise to become the most deadly and devastating fire in California’s history. As the anniversary approaches, Netflix has dropped the trailer for its short documentary on the fire and it looks like it could be Oscar worthy.

Fire in Paradise has gripped audiences around the world at different film festivals, winning the Audience Award at the Hamptons Film Festival. Now, the film is about to become available to the world as it will be released on Netflix on November 1. Here is the synopsis of the documentary:

“On the morning of November 8, 2018, a seemingly small fire broke out in Butte County, California, near the town of Paradise. Over the course of a few short hours, the Camp Fire grew into the country’s deadliest wildfire in over a century, killing 85 people and destroying Paradise. Through firsthand footage of the disaster and personal interviews with survivors and emergency responders, ‘Fire in Paradise’ vividly retells the terrifying survival stories from that day.”

      1. Saw nothing wrong with this words use, found it right on spot for that day as we there struggled relentlessly for our own and saving others lives… The 5 hours sitting in our vehicles as fires swirling about us and strangers jumping in our truck back seat as theirs burned…
        “INCREDIBLE “…

        Thank you for posting DEFINITION…

    3. He was talking about the documentary being incredible, not the fire.
Reading and understanding is fundamental if you are going to wish death on someone.

  2. In the mid sixties I applied for a position for a fire department job at Paradise. I felt the dangers even back then of one narrow gravel road that accessed the town that was primary not much other than a quaint little retirement community. The salary wasn’t too bad, but I passed it up as the working hours were longer than what I had left for a city department. I pasted on it. Later in life, myself and some Harley riding friends would pass by the turn off to the town, on the way to the annual ride down the Feather River Canyon to Quincy. Thought about stopping at Paradise a few times, just to see what changes had taken place over the years. I never did. I’ll just have to remember how it looked back when it was still rustic, and a challenge to maybe live and work there. Sad that incidents like this would occur to place it in people’s minds and hearts.

  3. I grew up in Paradise. All of the different places that I lived are gone, including the little house on Billy Hill that my grandfather built for his mother and father. I don’t think I can ever go back there. I have friends and relatives that lost everything. So I choose to hold onto the memories. Love to all——-Paradise Strong!
