Mt. Shasta Ski Park is Getting POUNDED by Snowfall

It’s Monday morning in Northern California and the cold, wet storm is dumping snow the mountains. Many Tahoe ski resorts used the early snowfall to reopen, following very brief openings after the historic late-October storm. Soon it may be Mt. Shasta Ski Park’s turn to get in on the opening action, with the storm currently POUNDING the mountain with multiple feet of snow.

The initial forecast called for Mount Shasta to receive approximately 4 feet of snow and it sure looks like it’s going to hit that mark. The snow began falling early and often this weekend and webcams shows that the Mt. Shasta Ski Park will have a nice foundation of snowpack later this week.

As for the Douglas webcam, it’s already buried in snow:

With this new snow, we’re guessing the ski park will make an announcement on their opening soon. It’s hard to tell what the coverage looks like from the webcams, but it’s surely enough to partially open. There’s also another BIG storm coming forecast to last up to 10 days in Mount Shasta:

Winter has arrived and it’s not going anywhere. Time to dust off those skis and snowboards and get ready to hit the slopes. We’ll keep you updated on the announcement of opening day.
