Mt. Shasta Ski Park Announces Opening Day with a Bunch of New Snowfall

As the snow began to fall heavily on the Mt. Shasta Ski Park this week, it became obvious that opening day was right around the corner. On cue, ski park officials promptly announced opening day was set for Friday, December 17.

With webcam video showing ski park officials scrambling to prepare the slopes as multiple feet of snow fell on Monday, it was exciting that they immediately shared plans to open later this week. The snowpack isn’t huge yet, but that is expected to change with BIG 10-day storm forecast to begin next weekend and lasting through Chrismtas:

With the 2020-21 season in the rearview mirror, it’s still unknown how Mt. Shasta Ski Park will handle the Covid pandemic. Lat season, masks were required while going through the lift lines and in the lodge. There were also caps on tickets sold to avoid overcrowding, including limits to cars allowed in the parking lot.

Winter has officially arriver in Far NorCal and we couldn’t be more excited! For more information on lift tickets on the mountain, go to skipark.com. See our trip to the ski park last season:
