Mount Shasta Receives its First Snowfall of the Season
The first significant storm of the season hit Northern California on Sunday evening, bringing with it some light snowfall in the mountains. The first snowy scene of the storm was seen on Mount Shasta Monday morning, when the clouds moved aside to find the mountain covered in beautiful white goodness.
The Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce posted one of its beautiful timelapses of the mountain this morning to show the results of the storm:
The storm mostly hit Far NorCal on Sunday evening/Monday night and Mount Shasta was the chief beneficiary of the precipitation.
Radar loop this morning shows a line of showers & thunderstorms is pushing through the Valley. Periods of heavy rain are possible. Give yourself extra time to travel. White circles show lightning strikes. #CAwx pic.twitter.com/Yxaw2ToGn8
