Jet Ski Criminals: Men Arrested on Lake Berryessa with 3 Ounces of Heroin and a Loaded AR-15 Rifle

The Napa County Sheriff’s Office experienced a unique arrest on Wednesday, with two men brought in for warrants and possession of heroin. One of the men was located on a floating jet ski, which contained a loaded AR-15 rifle.

Wednesday morning, Napa County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle blocking the Putah Creek launch ramp. Deputies located 37-year-old Nathan Norfolk standing next to the car, who had warrants for his arrest. Approximately 3 ounces of Heroin and more than $8,500 cash were found in the car.

The owner of the car, 69-year-old John Duran of Fairfield, was floating on a jet ski approximately 50 yards from the launch ramp. Duran had a loaded AR15 rifle inside the jet ski storage case. Both men were arrested and booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.
