Hiking to 2 Waterfalls in a Day in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area

Sitting just outside Redding, California is Whiskeytown National Recreation, a breathtaking park full of hiking trails, beaches, a gorgeous lake and four beautiful waterfalls.

In 2018, the Carr Fire burnt 90 percent of the park, leaving the landscape with foundational damage that would cripple most outdoor activities in the park. Just two years after the fire, two of the four waterfalls have reopened to the public and they make for a great day trip in NorCal.

We spent a day hiking to Whiskeytown Falls and Crystal Creek Falls to enjoy the beauty of the park.

about this topic. You know a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I really
will need to…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic that’s been written about for decades.
    Excellent stuff, just wonderful!
