Sierra-At-Tahoe is mostly known to be the go-to ski resort for locals in South Lake Tahoe, but on Valentines Day 2020, it will be known as the go-to place to elope in Northern California.

On February 4th the ski resort will be hosting the first ever Great Sierra Elopement, which will allow willing couples to get married at 8,852 feet at the 360 Smokehouse BBQ (conditions permitting) for just $100. The elopement area includes panoramic views of Lake Tahoe, Pyramid Peak, Huckleberry Canyon and the Lovers Leap area.

The ski resort will provide the officiant and for any potential married couples, be sure to bring your skis, because your honeymoon will include a ride down to the bottom.

“Currently, Sierra is only able to offer full-service weddings during the summer months,” said Marketing and Sales Director Katie Hunter. “But there has been a large demand for winter options. This fun and unique day gives couples the opportunity to seal the deal atop our snowy wonderland, for an unbeatable experience.”

The couples must bring a valid marriage license and each have a lift ticket in order to take advantage of the Valentines Day deal. Each couple will receive a photo to commemorate the moment and can celebrate with a complimentary beverage before taking their first lap as a wedded pair.
