Christmas Delivers a Foot of Snow to Northern California

As families sat around the fireplace opening presents and spreading cheer on Christmas and Christmas Eve, Mother Nature was delivering Northern California a fresh batch of snow. Ski resorts reported up to a foot of new snow over the Holidays, with the skies opening up creating bluebird weather through New Years.

The timing of the snow couldn’t have been better, as the relaxing Christmas break gave way to perfect conditions on the mountain for skiers. Now, the end of the year looks like a winter paradise at NorCal mountains.

So as many people take the week off between Christmas and New Years, the bluebird skies will take hold over NorCal.

The Christmas snowstorm capped off what was a December to remember in Northern California. It’s been one of the snowiest Decembers in recent memory and a great start for snowpack and water storage for the 2018/19 water season.
