Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with Free Admission to National Parks

The National Park Service allows free entrance into all National Parks for five days every year. This year, the first free admission day falls on January 17 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fee.

Enjoy Northern California’s most popular National Parks like Yosemite National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park and Redwoods National Park without the typical admission charge during the first of the free days at National Parks in 2022. Here is the full schedule of free days this year:
