Artist Builds Giant Buddha Snow Sculpture in Downtown Mount Shasta

Snowmageddon 2021 brought plenty of snow to Mount Shasta this week and one local artist used it to create a snow sculpture for the ages.

Mei Drucker continued her annual tradition this week of building a large “Snow Buddha” in downtown Mount Shasta (pictured above) outside of her art gallery. She has done this for the past few years and this one might just be her best.

The snow sculpture was built on the sidewalk outside of the Mei Drucker Art Gallery and Gift Shoppe at 418 N Mt Shasta Blvd. Drucker shared a video on her Instagram showing how she made it using a large slab of snow and a ladder:

This has become an annual event for Drucker, who has created these designs for the past few years. It’s become a fun art installation for locals and visitors alike to visit in Mount Shasta. Here are her Snow Buddha’s from years past:

Go check out this year’s Snow Buddha before it’s too late!
