Winter Weather Advisory: Nearly a Foot of Snow Forecast for NorCal Mountains this Weekend

Snow in Lassen Volcanic National Park

Following the driest February Northern California has ever recorded, we aren’t exactly seeing the Miracle March we had hoped for. But a new storm set to hit the NorCal mountains this weekend could be the beginning of wetter weather to come this spring.

The National Weather Service released its weekend forecast and it included a Winter Weather Advisory along with a 8 inches of snowfall on Saturday.

The storm will see nearly of foot of snow in Lassen Volcanic National Park along with six inches in the Tahoe mountains and two inches on Mount Shasta. With the snowfall, expect winter driving conditions and chain controls on high-elevation roadways.

Saturday’s storm will be another meager victory in what’s been a terribly dry winter in NorCal. But with emerging cloud movement over the Pacific Ocean, meteorologists are optimistic that the second half of March will see plenty of precipitation.

Keep rain dancing, NorCal!

  1. Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
