The Late-Fall Salmon Run is Producing Some MASSIVE Fish on the Sacramento River

Due to the last couple of winters spitting out insane amounts of precipitation in Northern California, this year’s salmon run was one for the ages. Since the season opened on the Sacramento River on August 1st, fishing guides have been boasting huge returns for their customers.

As the year is beginning to move into winter, nothing has changed. In fact, some fishing guides are catching so MASSIVE late-fall salmon.

While the days on the river may be slower in the late fall, the salmon that spend more time in the Pacific Ocean are typically bigger than their brethren caught earlier in the year, and the proof is in the pudding. Here are some of the best catches of the week for NorCal fishing guides:
