High winds are expected to be prevalent throughout Northern California through Sunday and into Monday morning, with the National Weather Service issuing a High Wind Warning as gusts of up to 60 mph approach the area.

Although high winds will be seen throughout lower-elevation areas, officials are expecting the highest low-elevation winds to occur in the areas surrounding Vallejo and Fairfield. Meanwhile, it could get a little dicey in the high elevation areas, with ski resorts sitting on hold due to winds and Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows already recording gusts in the triple digits.

The winds are expected to last through the early morning on Monday. Please take caution as needed.
