Mt. Shasta Ski Park Prepares Mountain Biking Course for Opening Day

The summer is officially upon us in Northern California as Mt. Shasta Ski Park has traded in snowy powder runs for dirt brims. The resort is in the process of preparing its mountain biking course for opening day on June 15th, which will include an opening day dual slalom race:

This year’s mountain bike park on Mt. Shasta will feature 30-miles of lift accessed trails, including a beginner flow course, advanced step downs and a road gap, along with 20 miles of trails with panoramic views for cross country riders. Here’s a full map:

Included at the resort will be onsite bike repair, outdoor showers, food and beverages, and a retail shop. You can also test your frisbee skills on the disc gold course or simply take in a scenic chair ride for lunch at the top of the Douglas Lift. If you’re looking to complete your outdoor adventure at the park, there’s also camping available in the park’s parking lot!

To mountain bike on the mountain, it’s just $35/day, with a season pass costing $149. The scenic lift rides and disc golf are $20/person and camping is free!

It’s going to be another great summer at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park. For more information, go here.
