Kid Catches MASSIVE King Salmon Almost the Size of Himself on Sacramento River

All the experts predicted that this year’s salmon run would be memorable, but this is getting ridiculous. The size and quantity of king salmon being caught in Northern California this year is insane and a kid recently showed everyone what it’s like to land the catch of a lifetime.

Fishing guides Justin Thompson and Jeff Goodwin have been crushing the Sacramento River lately, giving their clients some of the best catches of the season. Yesterday, Thompson posted a photo of a kid and a king salmon he landed that came in at 28 pounds on the scale.

Oh my goodness, that fish is almost as tall as the kid! Can you imagine getting to land a fish like that as his age? So cool!
